Donegal Parent and Family Support Service, privacy and data protection rights are very important to us.
Donegal Parent Family Support Service is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 – 2018 as a data controller and data processor and all personal data will be maintained in accordance with the obligations of that Act.
Data Protection is the safeguarding of the privacy rights of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data, in both paper and electronic format.
Collecting Information.
We collect information through our referral forms and our helpline service.
We collect and use information to provide the following services:
- To provide a full range of Family Support services to children and families in Donegal
- To perform accounting and other record-keeping functions.
We will keep personal data for purposes that are specific, lawful and clearly stated. Personal data will only be processed in a manner compatible with these purposes as defined in the Donegal Parent Family Support Service personal data usage matrix
We will only hold personal data to the extent that it is adequate, relevant and not excessive.
In certain Circumstances, such as child protection concerns, or in the case of disclosures we are legally obligated to follow National Child Safeguarding legislation. This has always been the case due to the nature of our work, and we have always been transparent about our obligations under this framework.
Your data is kept safely and securely, with security protocols in place and regular internal audits taking place to ensure this. In the unlikely event of a data breach you will be informed without delay. We take your personal information and right to privacy extremely seriously.
