About DPFSS
Donegal Parent and Family Support Service (DPFSS) is the trading name for a series of support and information initiatives for children, parents, and families available both locally and across the county of Donegal. We are a community-based Charity funded by Tusla and the HSE, working from a two-site location and have various outreach points across Donegal.
Donegal Parent and Family Support Service work in a multi-disciplinary team of:
- Parent Support
- Family Support
- Childcare Professionals
We are committed to working with children and families across the county on a number of key priorities:
- Improving lives through family led, home based supports Delivering strengths-based programme interventions to children and families in need.
- Providing information, support and signposting to parents and children on a 1:1 or group basis.
- Facilitating a child led and quality based childcare service.
There are three strands to our service:
A countywide brief intervention service offering information, support and signposting for parents. This service has a special focus on co parenting when separated.
A community space to provide families and individuals with a range of activities and supports to nurture family and community life in the Ballybofey/Stranorlar area.
